Glossary: Fuel cells, mini

Mini fuel cells are being developed by many organisations and those that are fuelled from their environment would come within the definition of energy harvesting. Unfortunately most of the devices being developed use methanol which is certainly not avail able naturally nearby. Some are doing work on microbial fuel cells and ones using biological matter such as leaves as fuel. It looks like a niche opportunity at this stage, however.
